The 24th Annual Cookin’ for Kids weekend is over… THANK YOU's and a Summary… » Over 400 people attended the Oyster Roast on Friday and it was a BLAST !... Saturday, not so much, as rain and cold weather forced us to open the gates for free, and a few dozen families tolerated the conditions yet, everyone had fun.... The Georgia Southern Owl enjoyed the weather, however THE MOST ! About Cookin' For Kids » The Cookin’ For Kids Weekend is the annual spring fundraiser for Child Enrichment Inc., the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Child Enrichment is serving record numbers of abused, neglected and abandoned children. Over 17,000 children have received the services of Child Enrichment since 1978. Last year, these specialized programs found safe permanent homes, provided counseling, forensic interviewing, and or court advocacy for 698 victims of child abuse and 342 of their non-offending parents, caregivers, and siblings .... Child Enrichment also provided expert testimony in prosecutions of alleged child abusers.  The Exchange Club of Richmond County and Child Enrichment invite you to join us for the 8th Annual Oyster Roast and Toast to kick off the 24rd Annual Cookin’ for Kids Weekend! Come and enjoy fresh, steamed, roasted and raw oysters, gumbo, chicken fingers, salad, desserts, cold beer, wine, a live auction and a rockin’ performance by the The Toasters. This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Admission is $35 per person.

Come and join us for the 24rdAnnual Cookin’ For Kids! Cooking teams compete in a wild game, fish and BBQ cook-off that is judged by local community volunteers. Cooking teams offer samples of their culinary creations! Past entrees have included fall-off-the bone BBQ and ribs, venison chili, fish tacos, alligator, catfish stew, duck, bear and shark, just to name a few!  For the hungry, hamburgers, hot dogs and french fries are sold by the Exchange Club to raise money for child abuse victims. Come sample delicious food and have fun with the entire family! Activities include children’s games and inflatables, arts and crafts!

Admission:
ages 13 and over: $5
ages 3 to 12: $3
ages 2 & under: FREE!
