About Cookin' For Kids » The Cookin’ For Kids Weekend is the annual spring fundraiser for Child Enrichment Inc., the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Child Enrichment is serving record numbers of abused, neglected and abandoned children. Over 17,000 children have received the services of Child Enrichment since 1978. Last year, these specialized programs found safe permanent homes, provided counseling, forensic interviewing, and or court advocacy for 698 victims of child abuse and 342 of their non-offending parents, caregivers, and siblings .... Child Enrichment also provided expert testimony in prosecutions of alleged child abusers. The Exchange Club of Richmond County and Child Enrichment invite you to join us for the 7th Annual Oyster Roast and Toast to kick off the 23rd annual Cookin’ for Kids Weekend, Friday, March 23, 2012 at Daniel Field Airport in Augusta, from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. Come and enjoy fresh, steamed, roasted and raw oysters, chicken fingers, Gumbo, salad, desserts, cold beer, wine, a live auction and a rockin’ performance by the The Toasters. This is an event you don’t want to miss! Admission to the Oyster Roast is $35 per person. All proceeds benefit abused, neglected, and abandoned children in the greater Augusta area.

Won't you help save the life of a child today?

Last year, 637 children who were physically or sexually abused, or severely neglected,received the specialized services of Child Enrichment. Child Enrichment's Child Advocacy Center and CASA programs were the first of such programs to be extablished in Georgia (1986 and 1995 respectively).
Come enjoy some great food and music by The Toasters, and help some children who desperatly need services to recover from abuse.
